

University's Study Programmes (Masters, Postgraduate, Executive and Diploma Programmes) are conducted together with Sri Lanka Tourism. They now celebrate this year's theme of “Tourism for All - Promoting Universal Accessibility” with the participation of the key stakeholders of the tourism industry of Sri Lanka.
Major objectives of UN-WTO Tourism Day Celebration of this year are to make a valuable contribution to Sri Lanka Tourism Development. They expect to organize (1) Tourism Leaders’ Summit- 2016 (as it was in 2015) to create a constructive dialogue among the key industry-stakeholders to design new innovative strategies to take Sri Lanka Tourism by 2020 as one of the most sought after destinations in global tourism. Participation of international experts are expected to integrate with this industry dialogue (2) International Conference on “Integrating and Networking the evidence-based research for sustainable Tourism Development to make tourism benefit all.
They expect to invite prominent researchers/academics/industry experts from different regions of the world to this international conference through their academic and professional partnerships. (3) Tourism Day-Walk in Colombo on “Rekindling Sri Lanka Tourism for all” in line with the UN-WTO Theme, (4) Poster Competition among differently abled community on “Envisioning tourism through unseen visual”. (5) Quiz Competition for School Children.
They expect over 1500 participants for the grand event including diplomatic missions, inbound tourists, cooperate sector, policy makers, academic & researchers, volunteers & representatives from NGO/INGOs with students of their Master, Postgraduate, Executive, Diploma and Certificate Programmes.
